Elisabeth’s story reminds us that righteousness does not shield us from longing, but it does prepare us to recognize God’s hand when deliverance comes. Her life testifies that faithful waiting is never wasted in the sight of heaven.
For many years Elisabeth carried the sorrow of unanswered prayers, yet she never released her faith in God. In time, hope returned not with noise or spectacle, but with the quiet joy of preparing for a miracle.
When Zacharias lost his voice, faith did not leave their home. In the quiet, Elisabeth and Zacharias learned that God often speaks most clearly when human certainty is stripped away.

Elisabeth Conceives
Luke 1:23-25

23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,
25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.
