In the stillness of a candlelit room, an aging witness meticulously inks the sacred scroll that would introduce the world to the Messiah. Though the physical hand that wrote it has long returned to dust, the eternal words captured by that steady quill will never pass away.

As Matthew walked beside the Master, his quill captured the living breath of sermons and parables that would travel across centuries. His discipleship was found in his quiet attentiveness. Ours can be found in the same way as we read his words.

Matthew was an eyewitness to Jesus, the recording scribe hanging on every word, reminds us where all true testimony begins. Before we can ever hope to share the truth of the Gospel, we must first learn to walk in step and listen deeply to the voice of the Savior.
